Approved peptide medicines
Several peptides are approved medicines, including insulin, GLP-1 receptor agonists such as semaglutide and liraglutide, the dual agonist tirzepatide, and tesamorelin. Approval means a regulator reviewed trial data and agreed the benefit outweighs the risk for one specific use in one specific population.
