Semaglutide

Semaglutide is a long-acting GLP-1 receptor agonist approved in the United States under different brand names for type 2 diabetes and for chronic weight management, with further indications added since - including cardiovascular risk reduction and, under accelerated approval, a liver indication. It has one of the largest randomised trial records in modern medicine and well-documented gastrointestinal side effects.
