Tirzepatide

Tirzepatide activates both GIP and GLP-1 receptors. It is FDA-approved in the United States under different brand names for type 2 diabetes and, for the weight-management product, chronic weight management and moderate to severe obstructive sleep apnoea in adults with obesity. It is supported by large randomised trials and shares the gastrointestinal side effect profile of the incretin class.
