What to check before you commit
- Confirm the practitioner's licence directly with your state or national register.
- Ask which approaches they use and how they measure progress.
- Ask about fees, insurance, sliding scale and cancellation policy before the first session.
- Notice how you feel after two or three sessions - fit matters as much as credentials.
- It is always acceptable to change practitioners if the fit is not right.
