BPC-157 is a synthetic peptide fragment marketed for tendon, muscle and gut healing. Its evidence base is almost entirely rodent studies. There are no adequately sized published randomised human trials, it is not approved for human use, and the FDA has assessed it in the compounding context with safety concerns identified.
