Depression & Neuroplasticity

Research links depression to changes in synaptic function, stress signalling and brain networks, and several treatments affect plasticity in laboratory models. But depression is biological, psychological and social at once, most cellular evidence comes from animals, and no plasticity measurement can diagnose depression or predict who will respond to treatment.
