Sadness vs Depression Explained

Sadness is a normal, time-limited emotional response to loss or disappointment. Depression is a persistent condition lasting at least two weeks with multiple symptoms - low mood, loss of interest, sleep and appetite changes, fatigue, hopelessness, or thoughts of death - that significantly impair daily functioning.
