Peptides 101

A peptide is a short chain of amino acids, usually fewer than about fifty, that the body uses as a signal. Insulin is a peptide. So is the hormone that tells you that you are full. The same word is also used to sell unapproved research compounds online, which is where most of the confusion starts.
