Healthy Aging, Healthspan and Cognitive Reserve
The strongest evidence for healthy aging points to a small set of unglamorous factors: regular physical activity, sleep, cardiovascular and metabolic health, not smoking, moderate or no alcohol, hearing care, continued learning and social connection. Cognitive reserve describes the brain's capacity to tolerate change, built through lifelong mental and social engagement.
