Sleep and aging

Sleep changes with age: it becomes lighter, more fragmented, and often shifts earlier. Professional consensus recommends seven or more hours a night for adults. Persistent insomnia, loud snoring with pauses, or daytime sleepiness that interferes with life are clinical issues rather than inevitable parts of getting older.
